2026 MO Driver Education Bills (Presented by AAA Missouri)
Driver Education Bills Gaining Traction
- HB2195 (Rep. Rodger Reedy, District 57) / SB1567 (Sen. Jamie Burger, District 27)
- Creates the 'Missouri Integrated Safe Driving Program,' which integrates driver education into existing curricula
- State shall provide sample lessons that meet MISDP requirements
- HB3220 (Rep. Mike Jones, District-12)
- Modify Missouri’s GDL to require completion of driver education program
- Missouri Department of Transportation to contract with public or private entities and organizations to provide driver education program free of charge
- Funding would be paid from a new Driver’s Education Training Fund
- HB1753 (Rep. Carolyn Caton, District 33)
- Online Road Safety Course
- 5-hour duration, and not to exceed $20
- No online requirement if successful completion of classroom-based course
